RENTAL BASICS

THE LAYOUT

Our event venue rentals include the MAIN FLOOR of the mansion, consisting of the FOYER, LE GRAND BIJOU, LE SALON DE LA PAIX and LE SALON BLANC. The second of the mansion includeing the Oval Room, Landing and Fitting Room may rented as additional space for you event, as well as the third floor which offers a lounge area on the landing at the top of the grand staircase.

CAPACITY

Our maximum seating capacity in a banquet style arrangement is 80. The whole capacity for the main floor is 120 for a strolling style event. Adding the second and third floor allows an additional capacity - up to 200 strolling.  

CATERING

You bring your own food. We do not cater or involve ourselves in your catering choices.

It is required that your caterer be present for the duration of the food service portion of the event for parties over 40 guests. We do not have a preferred caterer list. We have a prep area, sink and fridge. There is no kitchen onsite for cooking - all food must be precooked.  You must also bring your own expendibles, like napkins.

Beverages

You bring your own beverages. 

Cash bars are not permitted with out a proper 'Special Event Permit' from the City of Detroit. We are happy to help you obtain the required permit. Alcohol served at your event must be complimentary for your guests unless you have a permit. Smart Serve in effect. We reserve the right to cut off/and or eject any guest from our premise. No drinking and driving please!  
 

ALL RATES INCLUDE

DISHWARE   - white dinner plates, white dessert plates

GLASSWARE  - all purpose wine goblet & champagne flutes

FLATWARE  - forks, knives spoons

TEA SERVICE WARE - China cups & Saucers. Two Silver Tea Sets, 3 Kettles

SERVICE PERSON  -a lady to bus your tables and manage/clean our wares

WHITE FOLDING CHAIRS 

USE OF OUR UP-LIGHTS  -flood lights have 12 colors to choose from

FOYER ON SECOND FLOOR  -providing additional party space and access to 2nd floor bathrooms

1.5 HOURS PREP TIME  - prior to start of your event. Tables and chairs to be set up prior to your arrival

1 HOUR WRAP TIME  - it is acceptable that some guests linger during the clean up

PARKING LOT  - for 70 cars is included if your party is more than 80 guests

GARDEN - use of front and side garden area

TV & DVD - use of our flat screen TV and DVD player. TV can also be hooked up to a computer 

OPTIONAL 'EXTRAS' 

UPGRADED CHAIRS - gold Chiavari Chairs or padded white wood folding chair

BAR TENDERS - servers by the hour

ADDITIONAL SPACE - 2nd and 3rd floor rooms/space   

TABLE LINENS - basic white or black table linen


PARKING

Rentals over with 80 or more guests will include the 70 car parking lot

Street parking is free on E Jefferson Ave  in front of the building.

We have a small lot for 12 cars in behind our mansion, accessed off Larned Street.

Larned Street also offers free street parking
